We commenced Reading Buddies in Daingean NS this week. The program is organised by our literacy Co-ordinator Ms Ruttledge and involves the co-operation of teachers in all classes. Reading Buddies is enjoyable and beneficial for all children involved. It is a straight forward and enjoyable way for older more experienced readers to help younger readers develop their reading ability and has many other positive consequences including enhanced self-esteem, and the development of very positive attitudes towards reading.
