3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Class visited their 'Reading Buddies' in Juniors, Seniors, 1st and 2nd Class recently, where they enjoyed reading and chatting about books!
Library Visits
All classes will visit Daingean library in May and June as part of our literacy promotion at Daingean N.S. Ms. Healion’s senior infant class had a very enjoyable visit yesterday. Happy reading everyone!

Library Visits
It is envisaged that all classes at Daingean NS will visit Daingean library each half-term for the 2023-24 school year. Well done to 5th class who were the first pupils to visit today.
AR Reward September/October 2023
Congratulations to our pupils in first class up to sixth class who received a fun day at the GAA pitch and centre for reaching their AR target. We commenced Reading Buddies in Daingean NS this week. The program is organised by our literacy Co-ordinator Ms Ruttledge and involves the co-operation of teachers in all classes. Daingean Library
A big thank you to Marie in Daingean Library for facilitating visits for every class in our school. Each class visited the library over the last month. The children could choose two books to bring home. We will continue to visit the library once a month for the rest of the school year.
AR Reward
Congratulations to the boys and girls who reached their AR target this term. The children were rewarded with a pyjama party, a movie in the hall and popcorn. Well done for all of your hard work. Keep it up!

For our first AR reward this year we went up to the GAA field for an afternoon of fun and activities - hurling, football, dancing, gymnastics, games with friends.
